This long-awaited update to Morytania and Slepe brings with it a new boss to Old School Runescape – The Nightmare of Ashihama. The Nightmare is a group boss found beneath Slepe in the Sisterhood Sanctuary. The fight against the Nightmare is instanced and you cannot join the instance mid-fight. Ironmen will also have access to a separate instance, in a similar manner to Corporal Beast, which will allow them to fight the Nightmare without being griefed from other players.
The fight against the Nightmare of Ashihama can reward you with some notable new best-in-slot items including:
- Nightmare Staff – New 15% damage boosting staff with powerful special attacks
- Inquisitor's mace – New Best in Slot crush 1h weapon
- Inquisitor's great helm – New Best in Slot crush defence
- Inquisitor's hauberk – New Best in Slot crush defence
- Inquisitor's plateskirt – New Best in Slot crush defence
