Slayer is a members-only combat skill where a Slayer master assigns monsters to kill, and it's the backbone of money-making and gear-unlocking in OSRS. XP comes from the kills themselves, so the fast path is taking efficient masters (Nieve, Konar, Duradel) and using a cannon or AoE bursting on big tasks. It's slow XP-per-hour but unlocks bosses, gear and huge profit.

What's the fastest way to train Slayer in OSRS?
Using Ice Burst or Ice Barrage on stacked tasks like dust devils, nechryael or smoke devils is the fastest Slayer XP. Cannon-assisted tasks from efficient masters (Nieve, Konar, Duradel) are the practical everyday method for most players.
Is Slayer worth training in OSRS?
Very — Slayer unlocks the ability to kill many bosses and high-value monsters, drops some of the best gear in the game, and is one of the most profitable skills overall. The XP is slow, but the rewards make it one of the most important grinds.
Can free-to-play players train Slayer?
No — Slayer is members-only, including the Slayer masters and almost all assigned monsters. You need a membership to train it at all, which is why it doesn't appear on free-to-play accounts.
