How the OSRS skill calculator works
Pick a skill, set your current level (or exact XP) and your goal. The calculator works out the XP gap, then shows how many hours each popular training method takes to close it — using the official OSRS XP curve, where level 99 is 13,034,431 XP.
How is the XP to a level worked out?
OSRS uses a fixed XP curve. We look up the total XP for your current and target levels, subtract them, and that’s your XP remaining. Enter exact XP instead of a level for a precise figure.
Are the training times accurate?
The XP/hour rates are realistic mid-game estimates for each method — your real rate depends on gear, location and focus. Use the times to compare methods, not as a promise.
Do I have to pick one method?
No — this is an information tool, not a checkout. Every training method for the skill is shown so you can compare them yourself: the ones you can use now are listed first and tagged (Fastest, Free, AFK, Members), and methods you haven’t unlocked yet are shown below, tagged with the level they open up at. Each row shows that method’s XP per hour and, when it uses materials, the GP cost to your goal at today’s GE prices.
