Tumeken's shadow

Tumeken's shadow is a two-handed powered staff and the strongest magic weapon in the game. It needs 85 Magic, and instead of carrying its own magic-damage bonus it triples the magic damage of your worn gear (quadruples it inside the Tombs of Amascut). It has to be charged with runes to cast, and is a rare drop from the Tombs of Amascut raid.

Damage & magic scaling

How its damage scales

The shadow triples the magic-damage % of your worn gear — and quadruples it inside the Tombs of Amascut. That's why it's so strong: every magic-damage piece you wear counts three (or four) times.

It does not boost gear that isn't worn, and it excludes Void, salve amulet (ei) and the slayer helmet (i) from the multiplier. There's no single max-hit number — it depends entirely on your magic level and gear.

How to get Tumeken's shadow

The shadow is a rare unique from the Tombs of Amascut raid. Unlike the Chambers of Xeric (which scale on raid points), ToA scales on raid level — higher invocations mean better unique odds, and the shadow is the rarest unique in the table.

Charged vs uncharged: the shadow drops uncharged, and that version is what trades on the Grand Exchange (buy limit 8). Once you charge it with runes it becomes untradeable. The live price above is the uncharged staff.
