You start on leather, move to cutting sapphires up through dragonstones, then sew dragonhide bodies — green, blue, red and finally black d'hide around 434k XP/hr. Sewing dragonhide bodies — working up to black d'hide bodies at around 434k XP/hr — is the fastest mainstream Crafting. Cutting dragonstones is another fast option. Both rely on buying materials, so they're mains methods rather than ironman ones.
Is Crafting expensive in OSRS?
It can be — buying dragon leather or uncut gems by the thousand adds up. Some methods like gem cutting are cheaper than d'hide, and the calculator above shows the live GE cost so you can pick the rate-versus-cost balance that suits you.
How do ironmen train Crafting?
Ironmen craft what they gather — gems from mining, dragon leather from killing dragons and tanning the hides themselves. That makes their effective rates much slower than the GE-fed numbers, so plan around your own supply rather than the headline XP/hr.
