Prayer potion(4)

A Prayer potion restores Prayer points when you drink a dose. The (4) is the standard four-dose version most players buy in bulk for bossing and Slayer. You can also brew them yourself with Herblore.

What a dose restores

Each dose restores 7 Prayer points plus 25% of your Prayer level, rounded down — so it heals more the higher your Prayer. A holy wrench (or Rada's blessing 3/4) in your inventory raises the 25% to 27%. A full (4) is four of these doses.

At today's prices, buying is actually a touch cheaper than brewing — a (4) works out to ~2,135 gp per dose versus ~2,200 to brew. So most players make Prayer potions for the Herblore XP, not to save gold, and buy them when they just need supplies. These figures are live and move with ingredient prices.

Most players buy or brew Prayer potions, but they also drop from a wide range of bosses and high-level monsters — handy passive resupply while you fight. Drop quantities and rates vary by monster, so treat this as a "who drops them", not a rate table.

Prayer potion (3): Demonic gorilla, Deranged archaeologist, the Desert Treasure II bosses (Vardorvis, Duke Sucellus, the Whisperer, the Leviathan), the Nightmare & Phosani's Nightmare, Phantom Muspah, and Yama.

What's the best Prayer-restoring potion in OSRS?
For raw Prayer restored, super restore and the Sanfew serum give back more per dose and also restore other stats — but they cost more. The plain Prayer potion is the cheapest bulk option and what most players carry for everyday bossing and Slayer.
