Mixed hide boots are a feet slot piece of the mixed hide armour set, added in the Varlamore: Part One update. They require 60 Ranged and 50 Defence to wear and give +5 Ranged attack, +2 strength and solid defensive bonuses, making them a cheap low-risk option for the Wilderness. You craft them at 69 Crafting or have Pellem make them for 17,500 coins, and they trade on the GE for around a few thousand coins.
Equipment bonuses
Mixed hide boots focus on defence rather than offence, offering +4 stab, +5 slash and +6 crush defence plus +3 magic and +3 ranged defence, alongside +5 Ranged attack and a small +2 melee strength.

Other bonuses
The trade-off is a -10 Magic attack penalty, so they suit ranged and melee setups but never mage. They sit behind dedicated ranged boots on offence but win on cost and defence for a 60 Ranged, 50 Defence requirement.

How to get the mixed hide boots
Mixed hide boots are part of the mixed hide armour set, a ranged armour set introduced with Varlamore: Part One on 20 March 2024. There is no monster drop — you obtain them in one of two ways.
- Craft them yourself: with 69 Crafting, combine a mixed hide base and one sunlight antelope fur using a needle and thread for 75 Crafting experience.
- Pay Pellem: at the Hunter Guild you can have Pellem make a pair for 17,500 coins, provided you bring a sunlight antelope fur. This bypasses the Crafting level but needs 46 Hunter and completion of Children of the Sun.
Because they are tradeable, you can also just buy them on the Grand Exchange for a few thousand coins if you would rather skip the gathering.
Are the mixed hide boots worth it?
For the price, mixed hide boots are a strong budget pick. The whole mixed hide set is built as a cheap, low-risk ranged armour kit for the Wilderness, where dying in expensive gear hurts. The boots give meaningful defence across stab, slash and crush plus a little ranged attack and strength, so they cover ranged and melee builds at once.
Compared with climbing boots — another strength-bonus boot — mixed hide boots add real defensive stats and a ranged attack bonus, but cost much higher requirements (60 Ranged, 50 Defence) and carry a magic attack penalty. They are not best in slot for any single style; pricier boots beat them on raw offence. As a low-cost, low-stakes option that pairs with the hunter's spear and the rest of the mixed hide set, though, they earn their place. Check the live price and history chart above for the current cost.
