Rune arrows are the second-strongest standard arrows in Old School RuneScape, beaten only by amethyst and dragon arrows. They add +49 Ranged strength, are stackable, and can be fired from any yew bow or better — making them the everyday arrow of choice for most mid-to-high level Ranged training.
Equipment bonuses
Rune arrows give +49 Ranged strength, more than adamant arrows. Your bow decides your speed and accuracy; the arrow decides most of your damage, so pairing rune arrows with a strong bow like the magic shortbow is a common setup.
Usable on any yew bow or stronger · stackable · can be poisoned.

Using rune arrows
Rune arrows are the standard high-tier arrow for anyone not yet using amethyst or dragon arrows. They work in any yew, magic or better bow, and rune arrows on a magic shortbow (i) are a popular Ironman Ranged setup before the Toxic blowpipe. Like most arrows they can be poisoned for a little extra damage.
