How to get the Kodai insignia
The Kodai insignia is obtained as a possible reward from the Chambers of Xeric. Using its Inspect option shows the message: "You sense a dark magic emanating from the insignia. It looks like this could be attached to a wand." The insignia itself can't be worn — it's not equipable, and only becomes useful once combined with a master wand.
Since it's fully tradeable and noteable, it can also be bought outright on the Grand Exchange, up to the buy limit of 8 every 4 hours.
Creating the kodai wand
The Kodai insignia is used on a master wand to create the kodai wand, one of the game's magic weapons, which requires 80 Magic to wield. When the wand is created, the chatbox reads: "Power shoots down the length of the wand, empowering it with the darkness of Xeric's Kodai wizards." This process cannot be reverted — once the insignia and master wand are combined, they're permanently fused into the finished wand.
History of the Kodai insignia
When the Chambers of Xeric first launched, the raid dropped the finished kodai wand directly instead of the insignia — an oversight that was fixed about a week after release, after which the insignia became the actual reward. In the 29 May 2025 "Yama CAs & More!" update, the Kodai insignia was also removed from the Grand Exchange's item sink list.
