Amulet of glory

“A very powerful dragonstone amulet.”

The amulet of glory is a dragonstone amulet enchanted with the Lvl-5 Enchant spell, and one of the most popular necks in members worlds. It has no requirement to wear, gives a tidy +10 to every attack style with +6 strength and +3 Prayer, and carries four handy teleports (Edgeville, Karamja, Draynor Village, Al Kharid). It's the budget all-rounder — far cheaper than the amulet of fury — and trades for only a few thousand coins. The version priced here is the uncharged (0-charge) amulet.

Equipment bonuses

The glory's draw is even, no-requirement coverage: +10 to every attack style (stab, slash, crush, magic and ranged) and +3 to every defence style, plus +6 melee strength and a +3 Prayer bonus. It's weaker in combat than the amulet of fury (+15 defence, +8 strength) but costs a fraction as much.

There is no skill requirement to equip it — the only level that matters is the 68 Magic needed to enchant one yourself — which is why a glory is the go-to early-to-mid-game neck slot.

How to get the amulet of glory (and charge it)

The amulet of glory is player-made, not a drop. You enchant a dragonstone amulet with the Lvl-5 Enchant spell, which needs 68 Magic to cast.

  • Spell cost: 1 cosmic rune, 15 water runes and 15 earth runes per cast (granting 78 Magic experience).
  • If you can't cast it yourself, the finished amulet is fully tradeable on the Grand Exchange for only a few thousand coins.

A fresh glory comes with charges that power its teleports. Once a charge is used you recharge it yourself: 4 charges at the Fountain of Heroes (after Heroes' Quest) or the Fountain of Uhld (after Dragon Slayer II), or 6 charges at the Fountain of Rune in the Wilderness. It's tradeable on the Grand Exchange only when it has zero, four, or six charges — the price shown above is for the uncharged (0-charge) form. See more neck and melee gear options if you're planning a loadout.

Is the amulet of glory worth it?

For early- and mid-game accounts the glory is one of the best-value items in the game. The wiki itself notes it's popular "amongst players of all levels" because it gives good damage bonuses, has no requirements to wear, is much less expensive than the amulet of fury, and offers useful teleports."

Where it sits in the meta:

  • Combat: +10 to every attack style and +6 strength make it a solid all-round neck for melee, ranged and magic alike. The amulet of fury beats it (+15 defence, +8 strength) but costs hundreds of times more.
  • Teleports: its four destinations — Edgeville, Karamja, Draynor Village, Al Kharid — open up wider travel networks, and like other dragonstone jewellery it teleports up to level 30 Wilderness when most items stop at level 20.
  • Skilling: worn with any charge, it boosts the gem-table chance while Mining, which is handy for gem rocks — see skilling gear.

The trade-off is the charge upkeep, but recharging is free. For setups beyond the neck slot, browse magic gear and the prayer gear tools.
