What's the fastest way to train Ranged in OSRS?
Chinning — throwing red or black chinchompas at the packed maniacal monkeys (needs Monkey Madness II) — is the fastest Ranged XP in the game, but it's expensive and very click-intensive. Below that, cannon-assisted Slayer and Nightmare Zone are the practical fast methods.
How do you train Ranged for free in OSRS?
Shoot monsters with a bow and the cheapest arrows you can sustain. F2P has no chinning or Slayer, so the realistic free path is grinding aggressive monsters until membership opens up the fast methods.
Are chinchompas worth it for Ranged XP?
If you can afford them, yes — chinning is the quickest route to 99 Ranged by a wide margin. The catch is cost (chins are consumed every throw) and attention, since it's one of the most click-heavy training methods in the game.
