Fletching is one of the quickest 99s in the game once you know the route. You start on Headless arrows, but the real engine is darts — Iron darts at 22, then Adamant darts at 67 and Rune darts at 81, among the fastest XP rates of any skill. The one switch worth waiting for is Broad bolts at 55 (480k XP/hr), unlocked with Slayer reward points. Mains buy dart tips and blast through; ironmen lean on cutting bows (willow → magic longbows) because the logs come from their own Woodcutting.

Is Fletching darts or bows faster in OSRS?
Darts are faster but cost more — Adamant and Rune darts are among the quickest mainstream Fletching XP from the high 60s onward, but you pay for dart tips. Cutting bows (willow → yew → magic longbows) is far cheaper and AFK-friendly at roughly 110k–250k XP/hr, which is why ironmen and budget mains prefer it.
What's the fastest way to 99 Fletching?
Headless arrows early, Iron darts through the 20s–50s, Broad bolts (a Slayer-point unlock) at 55, then the highest dart tier you can afford the rest of the way.
