Osmumten's fang is a one-handed stab sword from the Tombs of Amascut. It needs 82 Attack, swings every 5 ticks, and has two passive effects that make its hits land more often and with steadier damage. Those effects are why it is a pick for targets with high Defence.
Equipment bonuses
The fang has +105 stab and +75 slash attack and +103 melee strength. It has no defensive or Prayer bonuses. Its attack speed is 5 ticks, and its attack range is 1.
Requires 82 Attack to wield · one-handed · attack speed 5t / 3.0s · attack range 1 · members. The accuracy passive only applies to the Stab, Lunge and Block styles.

How to get Osmumten's fang
The fang is a rare reward from the Tombs of Amascut. It has no other drop source.
The unique chance changes with raid level, and updates have lowered the fang's weighting at high raid levels.
Adding a cursed phalanx to the fang gives you Osmumten's fang (or). That is a cosmetic version of the same weapon.
What makes the fang different
The fang has two passive effects that a normal sword does not.
- Accuracy: on the Stab, Lunge and Block styles, the fang gets a second accuracy roll. Outside the raid it rolls your accuracy twice against the target's Defence roll. Inside the Tombs of Amascut it repeats the whole check, including the defender's roll.
- Damage: on a successful hit the fang rolls between 15% and 85% of your max hit, instead of 1 up to the max. This does not raise average damage per second but makes the damage more even.
The fang also deals full damage to the Corporeal Beast, like spears, halberds and magic.
The special attack is Eviscerate. It costs 25% special attack energy and gives a 50% accuracy increase for the next hit. It also rolls damage up to your true max hit, instead of the usual 85% limit.
Osmumten's fang compared with other melee weapons
The closest sword is the Ghrazi rapier. The rapier has +100 stab, +55 slash and +93 strength, needs 80 Attack and swings every 4 ticks. The fang has higher bonuses (+105 stab, +75 slash, +103 strength) but swings every 5 ticks.
The rapier ties with a few other weapons for general-use damage. The fang does better against high Defence targets and the Scythe of Vitur does better against large targets. Use the DPS calculator with your own gear and target to compare them.
