Skills necklace

“You will need to recharge the necklace at the Legends Guild.”

The skills necklace is a pure-utility teleport necklace with no combat bonuses whatsoever — every offensive and defensive stat sits at 0. It's made by casting Lvl-5 Enchant on a dragonstone necklace, and each of its charges teleports you to one of six skilling guilds: the Fishing, Mining, Crafting, Cooking, Woodcutting and Farming Guilds. It holds up to four charges (six if recharged at the Fountain of Rune) and recharges at the Legends' Guild. Cheap and tradeable, it usually costs a few thousand coins.

Equipment bonuses

The skills necklace is worn in the amulet slot purely for its teleports — it grants zero combat bonuses.

Every attack, defence, strength, magic-damage and prayer value on it is 0, so it's never worn for stats; you equip it only to fire off a skilling-guild teleport, then usually swap back to a combat amulet.

How to get the skills necklace

The skills necklace is player-made, not dropped. You create it by casting the Lvl-5 Enchant spell (Magic 68, boostable) on a dragonstone necklace, which costs 1 cosmic, 15 earth and 15 water runes per cast and gives 78 Magic XP. The result is an uncharged skills necklace.

You can also just buy one ready-made from the Grand Exchange — it trades for only a few thousand coins. The uncharged form (and the 4- and 6-charge forms) are tradeable; partially-charged versions in between are not. Enchanting dragonstone necklaces for profit is a common low-effort Magic money-maker.

Teleports, charges & recharging

Each charge teleports you to the entrance of one of six skilling guilds: the Fishing Guild, Mining Guild, Crafting Guild, Cooks' Guild, Woodcutting Guild and Farming Guild. The Farming Guild teleport drops you inside the guild if your Farming level is at least 45, otherwise just outside it.

A fresh necklace carries four charges. You recharge it at the totem pole in the Legends' Guild, at the Fountain of Uhld in the Myths' Guild, or by casting Recharge Dragonstone — all giving four charges. Players who've completed Legends' Quest can recharge it at the Fountain of Rune for a maximum of six charges. Like other dragonstone jewellery, its teleports keep working up to level 30 Wilderness. A small bonus: wearing a charged skills necklace while big-net fishing slightly raises your chance of finding a casket.

Skills necklace FAQ

Where does the skills necklace teleport you?

To the entrances of six skilling guilds: the Fishing, Mining, Crafting, Cooking (Cooks'), Woodcutting and Farming Guilds. The Farming Guild teleport lands you inside the guild only if your Farming level is at least 45.

How do you make a skills necklace?

Cast the Lvl-5 Enchant spell on a dragonstone necklace. That needs 68 Magic (boostable) plus 1 cosmic, 15 earth and 15 water runes, and gives 78 Magic XP per cast.

How many charges does it have and where do you recharge it?

It holds up to four charges, or six if recharged at the Fountain of Rune (requires Legends' Quest). You can recharge it at the totem pole in the Legends' Guild, the Fountain of Uhld in the Myths' Guild, or by casting Recharge Dragonstone.

Does the skills necklace have any combat stats?

No. Every combat bonus is 0 — no attack, defence, strength, magic damage or prayer. It's a pure skilling-teleport item, so you wear it only to teleport, then swap back to a real combat amulet.

How much is a skills necklace worth?

Only a few thousand coins — it's a cheap, common item. For the exact current figure check the live price and history chart above, since the Grand Exchange value moves over time.

Can the skills necklace teleport in the Wilderness?

Yes, up to level 30 Wilderness, like other dragonstone jewellery — higher than the level-20 cap on most other teleports.
