Webweaver bow

“A bow of a follower of Armadyl, corrupted by the power of Venenatis.”

The Webweaver bow is a Wilderness ranged weapon needing 70 Ranged, made by combining Craw's bow (u) with the Fangs of Venenatis (85 Fletching, or pay Derse Venator 500K). It fires every 2.4 seconds for +85 ranged attack and +65 ranged strength. Charged with revenant ether instead of arrows, it gains a +50% accuracy and damage boost against NPCs in the Wilderness plus the Swarm special, making it the strongest ranged weapon in the Wilderness. The ~16.1M price is the uncharged, tradeable form.

Equipment bonuses

The Webweaver bow is a two-handed bow that lands +85 ranged attack and +65 ranged strength — the headline numbers that make it the strongest ranged weapon in the Wilderness. It needs 70 Ranged to wield and attacks once every 4 ticks (2.4 seconds) with a 9-tile attack range.

How to get the Webweaver bow

The Webweaver bow is not a direct drop — it is created. You combine an uncharged Craw's bow (u) with the Fangs of Venenatis, a drop from the Wilderness boss Venenatis (and her singles-plus variant). The combination requires level 85 Fletching.

If you don't have 85 Fletching, you can ask Derse Venator in Ferox Enclave to combine the items for you for a fee of 500,000 coins. Either way the result is a Webweaver bow (u), which you then charge with revenant ether before use.

Both source items come out of the Wilderness, so you'll be deep in PvP territory to gather the parts. See the Venenatis gear setup in the Boss Gear Finder, and plan your loadout with the best-in-slot ranged gear guide.

Special attack — Swarm

The Webweaver bow's special attack, Swarm, consumes 50% of your special attack energy and one revenant-ether charge. It hits the enemy four times in succession with doubled accuracy, and each hit deals up to 40% (rounded up) of your max hit.

Each of the four hits also has a chance to inflict poison, starting at 4 damage. Since the accuracy roll is doubled on all four hits and they are rolled separately, Swarm is a reliable burst of damage — useful for finishing off players or NPCs in the Wilderness.

Note that the special attack originally consumed four charges; as of the 30 August 2023 update it consumes only one charge.

Charging, the Wilderness boost & death

The Webweaver bow does not use arrows — it runs on revenant ether. You must first activate it with 1,000 ether, and that activation ether does not count toward ammo. On top of that you add up to 16,000 ether as ammo (a 17,000 maximum), and the bow burns 1 ether per shot — roughly 2,000 ether per hour on Rapid. The bow generates its own ammo from this ether whether you are inside or outside the Wilderness.

Its passive effect applies a +50% ranged accuracy and damage boost when attacking any NPC in the Wilderness. This stacks multiplicatively with a Slayer helmet (i) or a Salve amulet (i) — but not both at once — and is what makes it the strongest ranged weapon in the Wilderness, ahead of a toxic blowpipe with dragon darts.

On death inside the Wilderness, any stored ether is always dropped and the 1,000 activation ether is always given to your killer, even if the bow is protected — so dying with it active costs at least 1,000 ether. Keep only what you need for the trip charged. You can recover the ether from the death office if an NPC killed you.

The price shown above is the uncharged, tradeable Webweaver bow (u). The charged bow itself cannot be traded; right-click Uncharge to safely strip the ether and return it to its tradeable form. Track the live value on the GE price tracker.

Webweaver bow FAQ

What level do you need for the Webweaver bow?

You need 70 Ranged to wield it. Creating one from Craw's bow (u) and the Fangs of Venenatis also requires 85 Fletching — or you can pay Derse Venator 500,000 coins to combine them for you.

How do you get the Webweaver bow?

It is not a drop. You combine an uncharged Craw's bow (u) with the Fangs of Venenatis (dropped by the Wilderness boss Venenatis). The combination needs 85 Fletching, or a 500,000 coin fee paid to Derse Venator in Ferox Enclave.

What is the Webweaver bow's special attack?

Its special is Swarm, costing 50% special attack energy and one charge. It hits four times with doubled accuracy, each hit dealing up to 40% (rounded up) of your max hit, with a chance to poison from 4 damage on each hit.

How is the Webweaver bow charged?

It uses revenant ether, not arrows. You activate it with 1,000 ether, then add up to 16,000 more as ammo (17,000 maximum). It consumes 1 ether per shot — about 2,000 ether per hour on Rapid.

Why can't I trade my Webweaver bow?

The charged Webweaver bow is untradeable. To trade it, right-click Uncharge to remove the revenant ether — that turns it back into the tradeable Webweaver bow (u). The Grand Exchange price you see is for that uncharged form.

Is the Webweaver bow good?

Inside the Wilderness it is the strongest ranged weapon in the game, thanks to its passive +50% accuracy and damage boost against NPCs, beating a toxic blowpipe with dragon darts. Outside the Wilderness the boost does not apply, so it performs like a strong standard bow with a useful Swarm special.

How much is the Webweaver bow worth?

The uncharged, tradeable form sits around 16.1M coins on the Grand Exchange, though the live price moves — check the price chart above for the current value.

Does the Wilderness boost stack with a Slayer helmet?

Yes. The +50% Wilderness boost stacks multiplicatively with a Slayer helmet (i) or a Salve amulet (i) and their variants — but not both at the same time.
