The Ancient totem is a drop from revenants in the Revenant Caves. You can hand it to the Emblem Trader for 1,000,000 coins, or use a chisel on it to get 2,000 revenant ether. It is always lost on death, so leaving the caves with it matters.
Grand Exchange price history
What you can do with an Ancient totem
The totem has two uses.
The totem is tradeable. Compare the Grand Exchange price with the Emblem Trader payout to decide which route suits you. The Ancient effigy is another of the ancient artifacts from the same caves.
How to get an Ancient totem
The totem drops from revenants and from Bounty Hunter crates. The revenant drop becomes more common while you are skulled. A skull from a high-risk PvP world does not count.
The first rate is without a skull and the second is while skulled. The Grand Exchange sells the totem too, with a buy limit of 250 every 4 hours.
The Ancient totem and death
If you die carrying the totem, it is always lost, even when it is the only thing you have on you.
The way out of the caves matters as much as the drop. Selling to the Emblem Trader in the caves ends the risk at once.
