How to get the crimson kisten

The crimson kisten was added in the Blood Moon Rises update and is obtained as a rare drop from the Maggot King.

It can be wielded by any player with 60 Attack and 85 Strength, occupying the two-handed slot with a +80 crush attack bonus, +56 Strength bonus, and attack speed 4 (2.4 seconds) using the Spiked combat style.

Special attack: Brutal Swing

The crimson kisten's special attack, Brutal Swing, consumes 50% of the player's special attack energy. It makes four separate accuracy rolls in a single hit — if at least one roll succeeds, the attack lands for 70-110% of the player's maximum hit, with each additional successful roll raising both the minimum and maximum of that range by 20%.

  • 1 successful roll: 70-110%
  • 2 successful rolls: 90-130%
  • 3 successful rolls: 110-150%
  • 4 successful rolls: 130-170%

Against targets that provide a fixed maximum hit, the special attack always resolves as if all four rolls succeeded.

Is the crimson kisten worth using?

The crimson kisten's special attack rolls its accuracy against crush defence, so it's built to shine against targets that are weak to crush attacks — four separate rolls per activation give it strong average special-attack damage in those matchups. An update after release reclassified the weapon from an axe into a Spiked weapon and moved its special attack's accuracy roll from slash to crush defence.
