The accursed sceptre (u) is the uncharged, tradeable form of a powered staff requiring 70 Magic to wield, hitting at speed 4 (2.4s) with +22 magic attack. It's crafted by combining a Thammaron's sceptre (u) with a Skull of Vet'ion at level 85 Crafting, and once loaded with revenant ether it becomes the untradeable charged version, unlocking a Wilderness-only passive that boosts magic accuracy and damage against NPCs there. This (u) form is what trades on the Grand Exchange — see the live price & history chart above for its current value.
Equipment bonuses
The accursed sceptre's uncharged and charged forms share the same combat stats: +22 magic attack and +20 magic defence, with a 7-square attack range and speed 4 (2.4s), while requiring 70 Magic to wield in either magic gear setup.
These bonuses stay identical whether it's carrying ether or not — only the Wilderness-specific passive changes with charges.

How to get the accursed sceptre
The accursed sceptre isn't dropped by any monster — it's created by combining a Thammaron's sceptre (u) with a Skull of Vet'ion, requiring level 85 Crafting (boostable) and finishing instantly. Players without the Crafting level can instead pay Phabelle Bile in Ferox Enclave a 500,000 coin fee to combine the two items for them.
The process is reversible — the sceptre can be dismantled back into its two components. Levelling Crafting to 85 pays off if you plan on making more than one, since Phabelle Bile's fee adds up.
Accursed sceptre's special attack
The accursed sceptre's special attack, Condemn, costs 50% special attack energy and 1 revenant ether (consumed whether it hits or misses). It deals a 50% increase to max hit and accuracy for that attack, and on a successful hit also drains the target's Defence and Magic by 15%, regardless of how much damage was dealt.
That 15% drain is a hard cap, not a stack — using Condemn repeatedly won't push a target's stats down further once they're already reduced by 15%.
Charging with revenant ether
The sceptre needs 1,000 revenant ether just to activate its passive — that batch doesn't count toward the boost itself, so extra ether (up to 16,000 more, 17,000 total) is what actually powers it. While charged, it grants +50% magic accuracy and damage against any NPC in the Wilderness, consuming 1 ether per attack whether it hits or not; the same boost applies to spells cast while it's equipped, though it can't autocast them in powered staff mode. Casting nonstop burns through roughly 1,500 ether an hour.
The boost stacks with a Slayer helmet (i) or Salve amulet(i) variant, but not both at once. Any stored ether is always lost on death in the Wilderness, even as a protected item — right-click Uncharge before a risky trip to safely reclaim it and turn the sceptre back into this tradeable (u) form.
