Because it's tradeable with a buy limit of 8 every 4 hours, players who don't want to raid for it can buy it directly on the Grand Exchange instead.
Is the ancestral robe bottom worth it?
As Magic armour, the ancestral robe bottom pairs +26 Magic attack and +3% Magic damage with solid melee defence (+27 stab, +24 slash, +30 crush), at a 75 Magic / 65 Defence requirement. Its trade-off is a -7 Ranged attack penalty and no Ranged defence bonus, so it's built purely around spellcasting output rather than hybrid setups.
It is popular kit across a wide range of Magic-based content, including Slayer tasks fought with Magic barrage, Commander Zilyana, K'ril Tsutsaroth, Barrows, the TzHaar Fight Cave, and Skeletal Wyvern fights.
