Bandos boots are the boots of the Bandos armour set, dropped by General Graardor and his bodyguards in the God Wars Dungeon. They need 65 Defence and have no strength bonus, so most melee players wear other boots. Their real use is defence, with +15 ranged defence, and they are the item you upgrade into Guardian boots.
Equipment bonuses
These boots are built for defence: +17 / +18 / +19 stab, slash and crush defence, +15 ranged defence and +1 Prayer. There is no strength bonus, and they carry −5 magic and −3 ranged attack.
Requires 65 Defence to wear · feet slot · members. Its standout numbers are the +15 ranged defence and the +17 / +18 / +19 melee defences shown above.

How to get Bandos boots
All new pairs come from the Bandos stronghold in the God Wars Dungeon.
Wearing them also makes Bandos followers in the God Wars Dungeon ignore you, which helps on the way to Graardor.
Who uses Bandos boots
Even players in full Bandos usually swap the boots out. The Bandos chestplate and Bandos tassets give strength, but the boots give none, so offensive setups use boots such as Primordial boots. This low demand is why Bandos boots cost much less than the rest of the set.
They still have a place. The high ranged defence suits tank setups, they are a cheap way to raise defence, and they keep Bandos followers passive.
The main reason to own a pair is the upgrade. Use a black tourmaline core from the Grotesque Guardians on them to make Guardian boots, which need 75 Defence. You cannot reverse it.
