The dragon crossbow is a members' two-handed ranged weapon released on 4 January 2018 with Dragon Slayer II. It needs 64 Ranged to wield, fires bolts up to dragon bolts, and swings on a 6-tick (3.6s) attack with a base range of 7 (9 on Longrange). It's a clear step up from the rune crossbow but is outclassed for raw ranged attack by the higher-tier crossbows; its real draw is the multi-target Annihilate special attack. It isn't a drop — you make it with 78 Fletching — and trades around 673K on the Grand Exchange.
Equipment bonuses
The dragon crossbow's defining stat is its +94 Ranged attack, the only offensive bonus it carries.

Other bonuses
It has +0 Ranged Strength because crossbow damage comes entirely from the bolt loaded, not the weapon; it attacks once every 6 ticks (3.6 seconds) and requires 64 Ranged to wield.

How to get the dragon crossbow
The dragon crossbow is not a drop — it's made through Fletching at level 78. The final step is stringing an unstrung dragon crossbow with a crossbow string, granting 70 Fletching experience.
- Cut a magic stock from magic logs (70 Fletching xp).
- Add dragon limbs with a hammer to make an unstrung dragon crossbow (135 xp).
- String it with a crossbow string (70 xp).
Making one from raw materials grants 275 Fletching experience in total. If you'd rather skip the grind, it's tradeable on the Grand Exchange for roughly 673K.
Annihilate special attack
The dragon crossbow's special attack, Annihilate, drains 60% of the special attack bar and hits up to 9 enemies in a 3x3 area. The game rolls for accuracy, and on a hit rolls damage between 0 and your normal maximum.
- The primary target takes 20% extra damage.
- All other targets take 20% less damage — e.g. a rolled 25 deals 30 to the main target and 20 to the rest.
- In a single-way combat area only one target is hit, still with the +20% bonus.
One important catch: enchanted bolt effects cannot trigger during Annihilate, so the value of the spec comes from the spread damage, not bolt procs.

What is the dragon crossbow's special attack?
Its special is Annihilate, which uses 60% of the special bar and hits up to 9 enemies in a 3x3 area. The main target takes 20% extra damage and the others take 20% less. Enchanted bolt effects do not activate during the special.
Is the dragon crossbow good?
