Grand Exchange price history
The Oathplate legs are the legs-slot piece of the oathplate armour set, requiring 78 Defence to wear. They're the only legs-slot item with a slash attack bonus (barring the Vesta's plateskirt), pairing +100 slash, +75 stab and +73 crush defence with +12 slash attack and +2 Strength. As a Zamorakian piece they grant Zamorakian protection in the God Wars Dungeon, and drop from Yama or smith from crushed infernal shale and oathplate shards.
Equipment bonuses
The Oathplate legs lean heavily defensive: +100 slash, +75 stab and +73 crush defence, plus +81 ranged defence. They also carry a rare +12 slash attack bonus for a legs-slot item, along with +2 Strength, while their magic and ranged attack bonuses are negative.

How to get the Oathplate legs
Oathplate legs drop directly from Yama, a boss you can look up on the Boss Gear Finder, and more rarely from the Forgotten lockbox, which Yama also drops, at a rate of 1/403. They can also be created via Smithing: combine 2,520 crushed infernal shale with 450 oathplate shards to make 9 infernal plates, then smith those plates into one pair of Oathplate legs — the final smithing step requires 83 Smithing (boostable), a hammer, and the Anvil inside the Chasm of Fire. As a tradeable, noteable item they can also be bought directly on the Grand Exchange.
Breaking down the Oathplate legs
The Oathplate legs can be broken down at the Ancient Forge inside the Ancient Prison in the God Wars Dungeon, returning 50 oathplate shards, at a value loss compared to the legs' own worth.
Is the Oathplate legs worth it?
The Oathplate legs stack heavy stab, slash and crush defence for the legs slot alongside a useful +2 Strength and an unusual positive slash attack bonus. As a Zamorakian-aligned piece, the set also grants Zamorakian protection to players fighting inside the God Wars Dungeon. They're members-only and tradeable. See the Defence guide if you're working toward the 78 Defence requirement.
