Celestial ring

“A ring forged in the heart of a shooting star. It provides some useful mining boosts.”

The Celestial ring is a Mining ring from the Shooting Stars activity. Worn charged or uncharged, it gives an invisible +4 Mining boost. Once you feed it stardust it also has a 1 in 10 chance of an extra ore from rocks up to adamantite. It is a skilling ring with no combat stats, and it is not tradeable, so there is no Grand Exchange price.

How to get the Celestial ring

The ring comes from the Shooting Stars activity, so you earn it with stardust rather than coins.

Ways to obtain it
Dusuri's Star Shop — this is where you buy it. The ring costs 2,000 stardust, which you earn in the activity.
Charging it — once you own it, add stardust for charges. One stardust is one charge, up to a maximum of 10,000.

The ring cannot be traded, so it has no Grand Exchange listing. You can also use it as part of the Celestial signet, which adds an Elven signet on top.

What the Celestial ring does

There are two separate effects.

  • Invisible +4 Mining — always on, charged or not. It stacks with visible and invisible boosts, but it does not let you get ores above your level range.
  • Extra ore — only while charged. It has a 1 in 10 chance of an extra resource from rocks up to adamantite, with some exceptions. You earn experience for both ores.

Each ore mined from a suitable rock uses one charge, whether or not the extra ore appears. Rocks that cannot trigger the effect, such as fallen stars, do not use charges, though you still get the +4 boost there. If you have only one free inventory slot when the extra ore triggers, you lose both the extra ore and the extra experience.

Celestial ring vs Mining gloves

The ring stacks with other Mining enhancers. Mining gloves save common rocks from depleting once. Expert mining gloves save them up to three times and also help on a few higher rocks. The ring does neither of those. It raises your effective Mining level by 4 and gives the 1 in 10 extra ore when charged.

The charged effect matches Varrock armour 3's mining effect, and the two can stack. If you already mine often, the uncharged ring still gives the +4, so it can be worth owning without any stardust charged.

Celestial ring FAQ

What level do you need to wear the Celestial ring?
There is no level requirement for wearing it. You do need to earn 2,000 stardust in Shooting Stars to buy it.
How do you get the Celestial ring?
Buy it from Dusuri's Star Shop in the Shooting Stars activity for 2,000 stardust. It is not sold on the Grand Exchange because it cannot be traded.
Does the Celestial ring need charges to boost Mining?
No. The invisible +4 Mining boost works whether the ring is charged or uncharged. Charges only power the extra-ore effect.
How do you charge the Celestial ring?
Add stardust. Each piece gives one charge, up to 10,000. You can set the charges from your bank with the Configure-Charges option, and uncharging returns the stardust that is left.
What does the charged Celestial ring do?
When charged it has a 1 in 10 chance of giving an extra resource from a rock you mine, for rocks up to adamantite (with some exceptions). You get Mining experience for both ores. Each ore you mine from a suitable rock uses one charge.
Is the Celestial ring better than Mining gloves?
They do different jobs and sit in different slots, so you can wear both. Mining gloves and Expert mining gloves keep rocks from running out. The ring boosts your Mining level and adds the extra-ore chance.
Does the Celestial ring work on Daeyalt essence?
Yes, since the 23 September 2026 update. The extra-ore effect now applies there, giving a 1 in 10 chance of double Daeyalt shards.
Can the Celestial ring be upgraded?
Yes. Combine it with an Elven signet at a singing bowl with 100 crystal shards and 1,000 stardust to make the Celestial signet. That needs 70 Smithing and 70 Crafting, or 50 extra crystal shards if an NPC sings the crystal for you.
