The dragon dagger's special attack, Puncture, deals two hits at once with an extra 15% accuracy and 15% damage on each hit, consuming 25% of your special attack energy per use. That means a full special bar gives you four Puncture specials — eight hits in total. Puncture rolls against the target's slash defence.
Under normal conditions each hit can reach 50, for a combined max of 100 damage in a single special. Against a slayer target with a black mask or slayer helmet equipped, each hit can climb to 54, for up to 108. This high burst for a cheap, fast weapon is why the dragon dagger is a staple knock-out weapon in PvP and a budget high-damage spec option in PvM. Dragon claws are often superior but carry a much higher price.
How to get the dragon dagger
The fastest way to get one is to buy it on the Grand Exchange for a few thousand coins, then poison it yourself with weapon poison to make the (p), (p+) or (p++) variants. You can also buy it from Jukat's shop in Zanaris (stocks 2), though that shop requires paying 1 diamond for access.
It also drops from a wide range of monsters at roughly 1/128 each, including brutal blue, black and red dragons, dust devils and the Chaos Elemental, plus more common drops from Tormented Demons and Venenatis. Magpie implings give it most often, at about 1/21. As with all dragon equipment, it cannot be made with Smithing.
