The Saradomin godsword is one of the five godswords, made by attaching a Saradomin hilt to a completed godsword blade. It needs 75 Attack to wield, swings every 3.6 seconds (6-tick 2h sword), and hits hard with +132 slash and +132 strength. Its Healing Blade special restores hitpoints and prayer from the damage dealt, making it a sustain weapon for long trips. The hilt drops from Commander Zilyana in the God Wars Dungeon at 1/508, and the assembled SGS trades around 27M.
Equipment bonuses
The Saradomin godsword is a pure offensive two-hander: +132 slash and +132 melee strength are its defining bonuses, backed by +80 crush and a handy +8 prayer bonus. It has no stab bonus, so it attacks on slash or crush.

Other bonuses
At a 6-tick (3.6s) attack speed and only 75 Attack required, it delivers big slash hits and feeds its Healing Blade special from that high strength bonus.

How to get the Saradomin godsword
The Saradomin godsword is not a direct drop — it is built by attaching a Saradomin hilt to a completed godsword blade. The blade is itself made from three godsword shards, which drop from the four God Wars Dungeon generals.
The hilt is the rare, expensive part: it is a drop from Commander Zilyana, the Saradomin general in the God Wars Dungeon, at a rate of 1/508. If you do not want to grind it yourself, both the hilt and the finished sword are tradeable on the Grand Exchange, where the assembled SGS sits around 27M. See where it ranks among other melee weapons in the boss gear finder.
Healing Blade special attack
The Saradomin godsword's special attack, Healing Blade, consumes 50% of special energy. On use it increases your max hit by 10%, doubles your accuracy, and — on a successful hit — restores Hitpoints equal to 50% of the damage dealt and Prayer points equal to 25% of the damage dealt, rounded up. There is a guaranteed minimum of 10 Hitpoints and 5 Prayer points restored on any successful hit, even on small damage. The special rolls against the target's slash defence.
The healing is calculated from the swing's potential damage before some damage immunities are applied, so it can still heal you even when a monster appears to take zero damage (for example against a kurask that you cannot normally hurt). Because special energy regenerates 10% every 30 seconds, you get one Healing Blade roughly every 2.5 minutes — or every 1.25 minutes with a Lightbearer equipped — which makes the SGS a strong food-and-prayer saver on long trips.
Is the Saradomin godsword worth it?
The SGS is the sustain godsword. Its raw hit is identical to the other godsword blades (+132 slash, +132 strength), so as a pure damage weapon it is no better than a cheaper godsword variant. What you pay for is Healing Blade: the ability to top up hitpoints and prayer from your damage, letting you stay out longer without banking for food or prayer potions.
For top burst damage other specs hit harder, and for raw DPS-and-defence training a fast slash weapon like the abyssal whip or a dragon scimitar is often more practical because they are one-handed and let you keep a shield. The SGS shines on extended PvM trips and slayer tasks where self-healing offsets supply costs. As a two-hander it is awkward against monsters that demand a shield, but you can still weapon-switch to it just to fire the special. Browse the rest of your setup in the melee gear and prayer gear guides, and use the slayer guide to plan where the heal pays off most.
